Beware of the Mistletoe...

My first quadruple BLT (Black-tie, lace, or toga) themed birthday party!~

Happy Thanksgiving!~

Its hard to be away from family during the holidays. But luckily I have a friend who is also family-less in DC and so together we're planning a blow-out Thanksgiving meal. I picked up some poinsettias to liven up my living room, have the new Beyonce song, "Irreplaceable" blasting, and in no time, mouth-watering tantalizing aromas will be wafting and swirling through my place in anticipation of the feast. Our made-from-scratch dinner will include:

Herb-roasted turkey breast with pan gravy
Homemade buttery mashed potatoes with the skins on
Sweet cranberry sauce
Better than Grandma's Creamed Corn
Sweet and crunchy strawberry/sesame seed salad
Stuffing
Sparkling Wine- several bottles :)
Homemade fresh apple pie a 'la mode

And what better way to work off the extra calories than heading to the outlets and doing a little (window) shopping!
