I am in love!

.... with a two year old named Colin. The minute he held onto my fingers while touring the zoo this past weekend, he stole my heart.

Dancing on top of tables

Friday night. The night was young, gorgeous, and full of possibilities.

First stop was a going away party for a friend at Mandu in Dupont Circle. Unlike most nights, my DC Asian crew picked an “Asian” spot to meet – in this case an overpriced shi-shi Korean restaurant that makes me miss even more my LA K-town. They serve tap water in wine glasses! Totally screams, “I’m trying too hard.” I l-i-t-e-r-a-l-l-y drank only water in their fancy schmancy wine glasses before I headed over to the new Veritas wine bar a few blocks away to sip on real wine legitimately served in a wine glass with my Sex-in-the-City crew.

Once the whole crew assembled, we then headed to Gazuza just down the street for the best mojitos in town. My personal favorite is their passion fruit mojitos. Plural.

And because the night was just too beautiful to waste, we ended the night dancing on top of tables at CafĂ© Citron – whose music is sure to get those hips moving. Luckily we were able to grab the table right next to the live drummers and so had an AWESOME time dancing and drumming the night away amidst a sea of equally fun-loving DC denizens.

Throughout this whole night, I didn’t have to step into a car. And that, my friends, is one of the reasons why DC rocks.
