I owe a friend dinner.
Six months ago, he moved to D.C. and I practically promised him that he would find himself in a relationship within six months. But he's still single. And now I owe him dinner.
He's Dartmouth, Harvard, and Boalt Law educated (Ivy league names are to D.C. what Paris Hilton and George Clooney are to LA), fun-loving, good guy all around and I was sure I would be enjoying a nice 5 star restaurant meal on him right about now. But... it looks like I'll be picking up the tab with a guy who's making more money than me! Not fair really...
He must be picky. Because D.C. is a great place to meet great single women. And by great single women I mean: intelligent, strong, independent, fun-loving, compassionate, charismatic, equally -comfortable -schmoozing -at -a -black-tie -embassy -event -wearing -killer -Manolo Blahnik -heels-or -marching -in -a -protest -rally.
I considered offering him double or nothing, but decided against it. D.C. has an abundance of great single women but I'm afraid my friend is looking for Miss Too Perfect And I Don't Exist.
